Description:

1. Remove failed areas (tree root damage)
2. Stabilize base (adding gravel & compacting)
3. Remove vegetation (sterilize to prevent regrowth)
4. Clean all dirt and debris from (existing driveway)
5. Apply hot tack oil (bonding agent)
6. Pre-fill all low areas with (hot mix asphalt)
7. Install new asphalt (overlay (2”) fully compressed)

Challenges:

Paving in the mountains is dangerous and always a tall task. We prevented the new asphalt from spreading on these steep hills through experience and the right equipment (rubber tire roller) and initial compaction done by hand compactor with operator wearing smooth asphalt tamp shoes.
